Dinner goodness

Potato-butternut squash-and-gruyere gratin. Doesn't get much better than that.

Dr. King would be so proud

The sign reads: Our office will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2009, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

So, they've closed the office in celebration of someone who challenged barriers to voter registration. I do love me some irony.

Starting Over

I now realize that a photo a day is ambitious. I'm not ready to give up - we're only 2 weeks into the new year after all. I've decided to try again, starting today. If I can't manage to get through this month, the blog will become "A Photo Whenever I Feel Like Posting One."

So, in an attempt to get back on track - here we go: Downtown Atlanta - 1st in series.

The red eye of Coca-Cola, keeping watch on Woodruff Park. (Note that you cannot walk on the grass in the park.)

Last in NYC series

Ice skating at Rockefeller Center. The rink is much smaller than it appears on TV - or maybe the people are much larger. Hard to say.

Remains of the Trip

Ah, the morning after. Apparently, the Laundry Fairies did not arrive while I was gone. Looks like I'm doing laundry today.

New Year in New York, photo #3

Third in series: Still the holidays at Radio City, complete with ubiquitous yellow cab. Too cold for Rockettes.

2nd in series: Still the holidays at Rockefeller Center - and the slim fellow's arms are very tired (not sure about the squattier fellow wiping his nose with his hand.)
